Scholarship

Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) offers limited number of scholarships to the deserving and meritorious students enrolled for the on-campus academic programs, depending on the availability of scholarship funds.

A total of 616 students across the five Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) have benefitted through the scholarships offered during the last seventeen academic years (from 2008-09 to 2024-25).   • Experience to Evidence (E2E) Clinical Research Fellowship

    Instituted in 2022, the Experience to Evidence (E2E) Research Fellowship is a collaborative initiative by the Indian Institute of Public Health - Hyderabad (IIPHH) and Pfizer. This fellowship provides selected fellows valuable opportunities for hands-on research experience. Organized and monitored by the Indian Institute of Public Health - Hyderabad, the fellowship is financially supported by an educational grant from Pfizer Limited. The E2E fellowship spans a duration of 2 years and entails the placement of selected fellows in various clinical discipline centres across India, including Oncology, Infectious diseases, and other specialities. Fellows undergo a meticulous selection process and a 1-month training at IIPHH. They are then placed at diverse centres in India, benefiting from joint mentorship provided by both a clinician and an IIPHH faculty member. ​

  • McKinsey & Company Sashaktikaran Scholarship

    For encouraging students belonging to socially and economically deprived communities to develop their career in public health, a McKinsey & Company Scholarship Fund, naming SASHAKTIKARAN (empowerment) scholarships, has been set up. ‘Sashaktikaran scholarships’ have been set up by McKinsey & Company for the eligible candidates selected for MPH programs being offered across Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) at Gandhinagar, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Shillong

  • INFOSYS Fellowship in Public Health

    INFOSYS Foundation provided this fellowship grant with the objective of training and placing MPH graduates from the IIPHs with the NGOs working in the area of public health in India. The grant provided by INFOSYS Foundation supported 25 students with fellowships that covered their academic expenses (full fee for two years when pursuing MPH at IIPHs) followed by their placement in identified NGOs working in the area of public health with their salary support for two years.

  • Dr. PG Tulpule Scholarship Fund

    Dr P G Tulpule Scholarship Fund seeks to encourage students to choose, pursue and advance career and work in public health, with specific focus on public health nutrition and allied areas. The full/Partial Scholarship fund is available to students enrolling for for MPH and PGDPHM programmes at the Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) under the non-sponsored category. Public Health Nutrition is a priority area for India.

    The Emmes Scholarship Fund seeks to encourage students to choose, pursue and advance career and work in the area of public health. This scholarship (full/ half/ part) fund will be available to students enrolling for Master of Public Health (MPH) programs at IIPHs (Delhi NCR, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Bhubaneshwar and Shillong.

  • P&G Health SEHAT Scholarship

    For encouraging students belonging to socially and economically deprived communities to develop their career in public health, a P & G Health Scholarship Fund was set up for the academic year 2019-21 under the aegis of Public Health Foundation of India. The Scholarship funds continued for the subsequent academic years 2020 -21, 2021-22 and 2022 -23. P & G Health Scholarship Fund have been set up for the eligible candidates selected for MPH programs being offered across Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) at Gandhinagar, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Bhubaneshwar and Shillong by the Procter & Gamble Health Limited. (formerly Merck Limited).
