The whole course experience is critical in assisting me in achieving my career objectives. The institute provides an excellent atmosphere for students to interact with instructors that are highly experienced and informed. This course provides an alternative viewpoint to typical thinking. This training benefits not only professional development but also personal development. Internships provided me with real-world experience while also exposing me to challenges and complexities. I was able to receive good mentors, assistance, and maybe future career prospects or references via networking with public health professionals and specialists. These internships have helped me understand program management, quality assurance and healthcare legislation. I am hoping that this knowledge and skill development will be beneficial when I begin working in my chosen career. This has benefited and made me a more enticing candidate for future opportunities.

Pursuing a PGDPHM at the Public Health Foundation of India in Bangalore was really beneficial to me since I wanted to make a difference in the healthcare system. Typically, the course included many aspects of public health administration, epidemiology, healthcare policies, and health promotion, allowing students to build crucial skills and knowledge in this sector. It gives me the ability to detect health issues, develop disease preventive measures, study healthcare systems, and implement effective public health programs.

Furthermore, with the growing importance of public health in global concerns such as pandemics, the course knowledge has enabled me to addressing health disparities, supporting health equity, and pushing for evidence-based healthcare policies.

I want to express my gratitude to Dr. Suresh Shapeti sir for his guidance and support throughout the course. He constantly made sure we were comfortable at the center and did his best to offer us heights level of knowledge. Mrs. Nolita Dolcy Saldanha was a great help during entire PGDPHM course and guided us in every stage of course. The Institution's entire staff was extremely helpful. This training not only taught me new topics, but it also transformed my perspective toward public health, which will undoubtedly help me execute my tasks more efficiently in the future.

Overall, the PGDPHM course has provided me with the tools and information which I needed in order to positively impact public health and significantly contribute to the welfare of communities and populations. My perspective on things has shifted since enrolling in the PGDPHM program. Now I'm thinking in terms of public health.

My experience at the Future Research Talent Award offered by the Australian National University (ANU) was both memorable and spectacular. I am deeply grateful to my professors at the Indian Institute of Public Health and the Public Health Foundation of India for providing me with such a wonderful opportunity to learn from experts and forge meaningful connections during the fellowship. A special thanks to my supervisor, Dr. Saurav Basu, whose unwavering support and guidance have been invaluable in this journey. During my engagement at the Center for Public Awareness of Science (CPAS)– Responsible Innovation Lab, under the mentorship of Dr Ehsan Nabavi, I found the work environment to be incredibly supportive. This conducive atmosphere allowed for multiple projects to be discussed and carried out with open communication. I truly cherished the camaraderie with my lab mates and the collaborative spirit that prevailed throughout my engagement at the CPAS. I have learned some invaluable life lessons that make me feel more grateful for the 11 weeks that I got to spend in ANU researching, collaborating, and expanding my worldview. I am also thankful to my professors for the opportunity to defend my master's dissertation from Australia. Their support has been my strength since the day I was selected for the fellowship. Truly Grateful.

I joined Master of Public Health program at Indian Institute of Public Health Bhubaneswar in 2022. Public Health, by its very nature, is in a constant state of flux. Fortunately, the education and experience I obtained through Master of Public Health program at IIPH Bhubaneswar prepared me for the real-world challenges that a public health professional must often face. IIPH acquainted me to the vast domain of public health through course of comprehensive modules, group work, classroom teaching and practical projects. Full support of faculties and motivated peer groups pushed me to work elegantly on every task. Also, a number of guest faculties organized provided a lot of knowledge and insights about the ground picture of public health. I am sincerely thankful to IIPH-B for preparing me well to face the challenges and building my competencies to grow and reach my potential.

Those two years have been an absolute bliss for me. I have grown so much as a professional as well as a person. IIPHG gave me a clear sight of my qualities and potential. I have indeed blossomed. The holistic curriculum of MPH gave me wisdom and better insights about the world and enabled me to grow so much professionally. Opting for an MPH at IIPHG has been the best professional decision of my life till now. It is as if I am made for Public Health.

I am proud that I landed my first job at UNDP in a state lead position in West Bengal. I switched to WISH Foundation as Manager of Public Health in my home state, Assam. I secured offers from organizations like WHO, JHPIEGO, and JSI in their National office in Delhi while planning to switch from UNDP but opted to come back home and serve my community/state.

Having a great deal of interest in community work and helping those in need, combined with my love for nature and north-eastern India, I enrolled myself in the Masters in Public Health program of IIPH Shillong. And it turned out to be the best decision I made for myself and my career. Being fairly new to the field of public health and not knowing what to expect from the institute, I came across several subjects that intrigued me throughout the curriculum. The faculty here was like no other I had ever experienced, so approachable, and always willing to listen and provide valuable feedback to our queries and concerns. The lectures here were more like open discussions which groomed and pushed me to expand my viewpoint as a public health specialist. The atypical teaching methodology enabled me to learn new subjects and skills like biostatistics and data analysis, program and project management, M&E, health financing, etc. with much ease. This environment has encouraged me to explore these skills, prepare, and push myself further to face the challenges in the field of public health and apply them to perform well in the system.
